In 2022, Enchant completed the San Juan Generating Station Carbon Capture FEED Study. The study was partially funded through an agreement with the U.S. Department of Energy.

The San Juan FEED Study established the technical requirements and costs of retrofitting the San Juan Generating Station with a carbon capture solution. It proved that the business case for adding post-combustion carbon capture technology to an existing coal fired power plants is compelling.

Enchant is utilizing the San Juan FEED Study and capitalizing on the advances that have been made in carbon capture technology and plant optimization to accelerate the development of its projects.
