Enchant Energy’s response to the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Request for Information “Deployment and Demonstration Opportunities for Carbon Reduction and Removal Technologies – DE-FOA-0002660” highlights the strengths that Enchant Energy’s projects and technologies could play in support of the administration’s goals of decarbonizing the electric sector by 2035 and the economy by 2050.
The Request for Information follows the enactment of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which includes more than $62 billion for DOE to deliver a more equitable clean energy future for the American people. DOE will help demonstrate carbon management and clean energy technologies and prove them from pilot- to commercial-scale in partnership with industry and communities.
Enchant Energy and its public partner, the City of Farmington, are working to implement carbon capture technology at San Juan Generating Station. Enchant Energy is looking forward to pursuing additional opportunities to advance carbon management and clean energy technologies for its current and future projects. In addition, Enchant Energy is pleased to share the positive environmental justice and workforce development aspects of its activities.
